How this novel was made — published in full.

I am a researcher by training, which means I am uncomfortable with undocumented method. The Boundary Within was written using a process that includes generative AI at specific, bounded stages. Rather than leave that ambiguous, I have written it down completely.

Two documents follow. The first is procedural: what happened, in what order, and who did it. The second is reflective: what the procedure revealed about authorship, creation, and the stories I was already trying to tell.
